Travel Arrangements
Before you commit to visiting Bath by car have you considered coming by train? Southcot Place is ideally situated for those wishing to visit the city by public transport, the train station being only a 2-minute walk away.
If you do want to bring your car, please bear in mind that parking is limited in the city centre.
Car Parking - Visitor’s Parking Permit - Zone 3
- If you require parking we have a single parking permit per apartment.
- The permit needs to be requested prior to arrival.
- It is provided at a non-profit rate of £17.10 per 24hour period (12 noon to 12 noon).
- Please email parking@mipad.co.uk with your car registration number and parking requirements.
- It is an electronic paper permit and does not need to be displayed. It is valid for Zone 3 only.
- Parking in Bath is zoned and Southcot Place is in Zone 3.
- On-street permit-holder parking bays are allowed (Zone 3 only)
- On-street dual use bays (Resident Permit-holder / Pay & Display bays - Zone 3 Only)
- Your car must be parked in a recognised & valid parking space within the zone.
- Your car must be under 2 tonnes (unladen weight) and under 6 metres in length with a maximum of 12 passenger seats.
- Any parking infringements (not following the local parking byelaws in force) are your responsibility and not the responsibility of MiPAD Bath Ltd.

Garage Option
We do have a garage that is available to rent (£10/day). Please note that it is suitable for very small cars, motorbikes and push bikes. Details and size are at the link below.

Notes
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer parking before your day of arrival or after 1200 on the day of your departure.
Please note that the council recycling van comes between 0700-0800 on a Tuesday Morning and if cars are parked irresponsibly or on single yellow lines there is the potential to block out the recycling van. Please ensure that you park responsibly and do not block access.
Please note that we accept no liability for parking offences that contravene the Local Authorities' parking regulations.
If you have more than one car then for Zone 3, there is free parking for everyone on Monday - Saturday between 1800 in the evening and 0800 the following morning. There is free parking for everyone all day on Sunday (ie from 1800 on Saturday until 0800 on Monday. Outside of these times additional paid parking is available as outlined below.

There is free parking a short walk up Lyncombe Hill, just outside the Zone 3 boundary or paid parking in the main city-centre car parks.

Southgate Shopping Centre Parking & EV Charging (4-5mins walk from Southcot Place)
SouthGate’s car parking is located underneath the shopping centre. It has security cameras, is open and lit 24hrs and is patrolled. It has 876 spaces including parent and child and disabled parking. Motorbike parking areas on level -1 close to the entrance barriers and throughout the car park. There is currently no charge for motorbike parking at SouthGate.

Ticketless System
Southgate parking system is a ticketless system. Drive in and the barriers will automatically lift. When leaving, visit the pay station to pay for the duration of your stay by simply entering your registration number. The barriers will recognise your number plate and lift as you depart.
Electric Charging Points
There are Pod Point electric vehicle charging on-site at SouthGate Car Park.
- There are 12 x 7kW charging bays available.
- Each bay has a Type 2 universal socket.
- It costs £0.35 per kWh to charge
